Mauritania Approves Recruitment and Promotion of 360 Education Personnel

On 27 October 2026, Mauritania’s Education Minister announced approval to recruit and promote 360 personnel in the education sector. The measures include recruiting 30 basic-education inspectors, promoting 30 inspectors to chief inspector, advancing 100 lower-secondary teachers to secondary level and promoting 200 teachers to lower-secondary professor rank. No implementation timetable or recruitment budget was disclosed.
